Kalpana Rajeshwar explained the process of preparing self-sustainable chemical free products at home and Zarina Ayub imparted quick and tasty cooking skills, with food prepared by Zarina Ayub (Hassan Hot Biriyani). We have always felt that many good information do not reach the poor and the downtrodden within a reasonable time. Whenever we talk of chemical free cleaning materials with our friends, they used to reply that their maid servants prefer the chemical products available in the market only. On the international women's day we conducted a training for 20 Domestic workers (who were migrated to the Perumbakkam Slum Clearance Board during the flood 2015 from various parts of the city) with the help of Bhuvaneswari, Sister Valarmathi, and their organization Tamil Nadu Domestic Workers Welfare Trust. They are doing a yeoman service of organising, educating and working for their benefit. All the participants were gifted with products manufactured by the members of Eternal Bliss - saree, Hand made soaps by Thiru Murthy, Sathyamangalam, Idli Podi by Poongodi, Ellupodi by Mala and a booklet containing the procedures explained during the training, all stocked neatly by our kids - in a palm basket produced by Panaiyerigall... Realised such a good work force we have at home.... The women had their day out - from the regular chores (though many of their phones were ringing for duties and kids' pickups, we made them learn and have fun as far as they could.. )
